Spring Break 2012. Beach trip.

Usually for spring break we take the trailer somewhere fun, and go camping. This year, was a little different, since Jesse decided to go to Utah for a Jeep EXPO. So, we were not about to stay home all week. A few "training sessions" later, on how to hook up the trailer, light the hot water heater, turn on the fridge.....hook up sewage (yuck) Jaden and I were confident we could DO IT!
I had never taken the trailer on my own before, let along do any of the real "outside stuff". Sarah and I usually take care of everything inside the trailer, organizing clothes, food, etc, and the boys take care of hooking it up, and all the minor ( that's really major) details.
So, reservations were made at Pismo Coast Village, where we've visited my in laws before, but never stayed ourselves. We packed, and left for Pismo Monday morning. Irma following close behind, and we made our way to the ocean. The kids couldn't wait to see it. After every turn, of another mountain range, it HAD to be the last.......I think the last 20 minutes of the trip felt like an eternity for them.
We got to Pismo Coast village, only to realize it is an RV PARKING LOT! can't believe anyone would want to stay there. 10 ft on each side of the trailer is just not enough for 6 kids to roam about. SO, we cancelled our reservation there, and moved to North Beach state beach. We found a WONDERFUL spot, bordering the butterfly cove, next to a creek, and walking distance to the beach.
Here's some pictures from our trip.

Found out blogging can be addicting.

So, I've recently discovered just how much fun BLOGGING can be. Even if it's just for my own reading later. To "journal" in a way. Capture some of the fun we have during the day, remember a new word Wyatt is saying....things like that.
I probably won't be one of those "followed" blogs, with all the "coupon-ing" tips, but this is fun.....really fun.
Took the kids on a tour of a chocolate factory, where they got to see how chocolate truffles are made, and try some. They loved it.
